For over a decade I have provided child-care and shelter-based consultation, training, and workshops to providers. These programs increase the skill and capacity of staff to recognize and respond to the special needs presented by at-risk children. A collaborative working alliance allows providers the opportunity to explore how client stories affect them on a personal level and impact the work that they provide. Consultation and clinical supervision offers a safe holding environment for staff to build their reflective functioning through discussing specific concerns in relation to client's affect, behavior, and motivation. This reveals a parallel process, thus improving social, developmental, and emotional well-being for the community.
I am available as a clinical supervisor to MSW, PsyD and MFT trainees and interns. Clinical supervision expands this support in relation to professional responsibilities, assessment/diagnosis, treatment, interventions, and case formulation.
